How the building we loved became a business we love.
Back when they were dating, Todd and Robin White (owners of the building that used to house the historic Schiermeier General Store) were driving out to the area's wineries when suddenly they both turned, looked at the building and said, "I've always loved that building." Approximately one year later, Todd placed a newspaper on Robin's desk, showing that the very property they both loved was for sale. It took over a year, but finally, it was theirs.
The Katy Bike Rental quickly occupied half of the building, leaving the other half vacant. Many ladies stopped in asking for a place to shop. It was from those continual requests that Robin's Nest on the Katy Trail was born in 2006.
Over the years, we have continued to listen to our customers (our friends) and evolve the business to meet their needs. We go to the world's largest market at least once a year, as well as support local artists, artisans, and producers, to make sure we are providing our customers with the best variety and most up-to-date trends available.
Whether you stop in to shop for the perfect gift, enjoy a cocktail, or host your own private event, we appreciate the loyalty of our customers who have been with us from the beginning and look forward to meeting all of you have who have not yet dropped in.
